The Butterfly Cowl, designed by MarinJaKnits, is an “over the head” cowl pattern with a classic “V” shape. It is a little sampler of the Butterfly/Papillon Shawl It was created to make a beautiful little piece and dip your toes into the techniques of a larger project. It is designed to be a fun, wearable piece of art.

It employs short rows to create the shapes with both yarn over increases and M1R / M1L increases.
You only work one colour at a time. The cowl is initially knitted flat and then worked in the round.
