The kit includes:
100g Gusto Nokta hand-dyed sock yarn (80% Merino, 20% Nylon)
Edgewise Mitts pattern, designed by Nina Holubcova (the pattern uses US crochet terms).
The instructions are for 3 sizes: size 1 is suitable for children, sizes 2 and 3 for adults.
You will also need (not included):
3.25mm crochet hook
These fingerless mitts are crocheted flat, sideways, starting with palm and knuckles. Next, a thumb gusset is shaped with slip stitch short rows. The edges are joined with slip stitch for a seamless finish.
Edgewise Mitts, named after their sideways construction are a crochet take on classic ribbed fingerless mitts. Using simple half double (US) crochet stitches worked into back loops creates a stretchy, lofty rib. The thumb gusset is shaped with slip stitch short rows. Can be worn pulled down over the fingers, or with the hem folded.
The pattern, designed by Nina Holubcova, is purchased through the Ravelry In-Store pattern scheme so there is a printed pattern in the kit and you will also receive a downloadable copy by email from Ravelry.
Nokta is a hand-dyed fingering weight yarn with points of artfully vibrant color on white, neutral or pastel bases.perfect to mix with other Gusto yarns, or to use alone as playful options to update classic accessories and garments.
