The Shift Cowl, designed by Andrea Mowry is a wonderfully versatile cowl that looks like an asymmetrical triangular shawl when worn. The slip stitch pattern is very satisfying to knit and, when combined with colour-changing yarn, gives fantastic colour transitions even though you are only knitting with one colour per row. The cowl is superbly finished with an I-cord edging.

These versions are knitted in Edition 3 from Schoppelwolle, a sport weight 100% merino wool . Please note that this is not the yarn used in the original pattern. The Edition 3 Shift Cowl kit includes 3 x 50g Edition 3 and a printed copy of the pattern, purchased for you through the Ravelry In-store programme. You will also need a 3.75mm x 60cm circular needle, scissors, a tapestry needle and a row counter (recommended).
