The Alto Mare Wrap, designed by Gaia Tarantino is a beautiful rectangular wrap with a curved border. The wrap is inspired by the magical sea views of the Italian Riviera (Alto Mare means High Seas in Italian).

The Kit contains all the yarn to make this beautiful wrap: two Scheepjes Whirls, one Whirlette and a ball of Scheepjes Mohair  Rhythm.

The wrap is divided into two sections: the Waves section and the Sunset section, which contains the sun and the rays. The Waves section is worked first, from side to side, back and forth alternating yarn A (Whirl) and B (Whirl). The unused yarn is carried up the side and later hidden in the second section.  The Sunset section is worked in Yarn C (Whirlette) with the Sun in Yarn C and Yarn D (Mohair Rhythm) held together. Once the Sundet is completed the rays are added using Yarn D. Finally, a crab stitch border completes the curved edge.
