The perfect holiday knitting project. This knit requires concentration at the beginning and end with a LOT of garter stitch knitting in the middle.

2 x 100g Monokrom Fingering from Urth Yarns (100% merino wool)
1 x 100g Uneek Fingering from Urth Yarns (100% merino wool)
We will wind the skeins into yarn cakes so that you don’t have to.
A printed and digital copy of the Vacation Butterfly Shawl pattern, designed by MarinjaKnits.
You will also need a:
3.50mm x 80cm circular needle
Stitch markers (optional)
The finished shawl (after blocking) is 90″ wide and 42″ deep (at the centre)
The Vacation Butterfly Shawl pattern, designed by MarinjaKnits. is a variation on her very popular Butterfly-Papillon Shawl. The shawl is knitted in one piece from the top down. You have a few places at the start to pay attention (Packing) but then LOTS of middle that is garter stitch with repetitive increases on the right side and nothing on the wrong side (Travel). Then the end requires most of the effort with short rows and a special finish (Returning Home, aka Back to Work!)
The kit includes 2 skeins of Urth Yarns Monokrom Fingering (tonal shades from light to dark) and 1 skein of self-striping Uneek Fingering also from Urth Yarns.
We will even pre-wind your chosen skeins into cakes so that is one less task for you to complete before you head off on your well-deserved break!
